It was copied in the monastery of Mar Pethion, which is positioned in the region of Mardin [...] in the days of the most vigilant shepherd Mar Eliya Catholicos Patriarch, and of Mar Ishoʿyahb, metropolitan of Nisibis, Armenia and Mardin [...] it was by the diligence of the priest ʿAbd Allāh that it was copied; in the year of the Greeks 1873 (1562) he a.dded this book to the monastery of the holy Mar Pethion together with the remaining codices, that is, the two parts of the Thesaurus [?]

SummaryThis book of the Warda was written by the care of the Antonine solitary and Pachomian monk Rabban Īshōʿ, and he caused it to be written from the expenses of the convent of Mar Pethion, in which it is set. [Conventional warning that no-one should remove it from the monastery] I wrote [this] with my hands, I, ʿAbdishoʿ, the weak, who by the grace of our Lord am Catholicos of the East, at the beginning of the year 1880 [1568].
