SummaryThe manuscript has been written by Barṣawm of Tebsyas (ܬܒܣܝܐܣ) in the monastery of Mar Abḥay on the Euphrates river "in a place located East to the Blessed village of ʿUrbish" at the time of the well-known Patriarch of Antioch Mar Ignatios Ni'mat Allah, Mar Basileios ʿAbd al-Ġanī Maphrian of the East, Mar Timotheos Toma Nāṭar Kursyā (ܢܛܪ ܟܘܪܣܝܐ "Guardian of the throne"), Mar Gregoryos Yuḥanon, guardian of the gates of Jerusalem the local bishop, and Mar Severius Hasan, the local bisop. Finally, the scribe mentions his masters, Rabban Shemʿun, Ṣliba,Yuḥanon, Barṣawm, Sargis and the deacons Yuḥanon, Denḥa, Theodoros, Quryaqos and ʿAbd Allah.
