| Summary | The note was written by the Patriarch Aftīmūs who mentions that the book was an endowment from the priest Ibrāhīm and his brother, the Shaykh Mīkhāyīl, sons of the deceased Naṣrallāh b. al-Zahr (one of the aʿyān of Damascus), for their own honor and the honor of their father. It was given to the Church of the two great saints and martyrs Cyprian and Justina and to the Church of Our Lady inside of Damascus. The note includes a curse (laʿna). Dated seven thousand one hundred and fifty-two since Adam. |
