| Summary | This noble Gospel was completed on Friday, the first of the blessed month of September, and the beginning of the Greek new year, the year seven thousand two hundred and thirteen since our Father Adam, the greatest peace upon him! [It was completed] by the hand of the poorest and lowliest of the Christian community, on account of his many sins and abundant misdeeds, whose name is not worth mentioning, Mikhāyīl abū Jurjus al-Ṣāyigh. Whosoever looks inside it and reads in it and finds something wrong or missing, he shall improve it and God shall make his affairs prosper in this world and the next, and he shall ask God to have mercy with him and his parents. Amen. |
