Summary | The twenty-fifth chapter was finished and when it was finished, the Kitāb al-Fuṣūl was finished, which the head [physician] Mūsā b. ʿAbd Allāh al-Isrāʾīlī al-Qurṭubī collected in [the field of] medicine. This copy was transferred from a copy in the hand of Abī l-ʿĀnī [?] Yūsuf b. ʿAbd Allāh - he is the nephew of the aforementioned author [Maimonides]. I found that in it [i.e, in the copy] it was written: "This twenty-fifth chapter was written after the death of the mawlā and head, my uncle. He did not put it in order as he had done to all the preceding chapters, because he wrote the commentary, which is in his handwriting, and after that, he made a final copy and he wrote it with his own hand." The copy of this chapter was [written] at the beginning of the year two and six hundred (= 1205 AD), praise to God. |
