| Summary | The Aprakos was completed in ist entirety and written for the Church of Our Lady in the city of Hama. It was penned on Friday, at the beginning of the month of June, in the year seven thousand one hundred forty-seven since Adam, peace be upon him [1639 AD], and this by the hand of the poor Talja, the son of the priest Ḥawrān al-Ḥamawī. He wrote it in the city of Aleppo for the church in Hama, asking God the Almighty for his forgiveness on the Day of Jugdment, out of his benevolence and generosity. Amen. |
