Notes & references | The manuscript contains the Didascalia Apostolorum and general synods of the church. The colophons indicate that the manuscript is of great importance as it was deposited for official use in the West Syrian patriarchate in Dayr al-Zaʿfaran, near Mardin. Mingana states that the manuscripts from which this is derived were in undotted Arabic characters and of Coptic origin, and that this was written by order of the patriarch. The manuscript was restored in 1891. The monk Eliyah, who restored the manuscript, added an index, on folia 1-13v. For supplied leaves, see Mingana's catalogue. |
